Unearth QLD was born out of a vision to provide unwavering support to children and their families through a multidisciplinary approach. Our journey began in August 2022 when Kristy established her own Psychology practice, Unearth Psychology. Fueled by her passion for holistic care, Kristy dreamt of creating a haven where children could thrive with the right blend of expertise and compassion.
The masterpiece at the end of our hallway serves as a reminder of the bonds that shaped Unearth. A gift from Kristy's former colleagues, it symbolizes the collaborative spirit that inspired her during her psychology internship. In pursuit of a name resonating with learning, a quick thesaurus search unveiled "Unearth," a name that unearthed a world of possibilities when endorsed by a trusted colleague. Drawing inspiration from the words "Find," "Drive," "Discover," "Uncover," "Encounter," "Grow," and "Transform," we set out to cultivate an embodied learning experience – the foundation of our practice.
Enter Caitlynn – the catalyst for Unearth QLD's evolution. A shared commitment to clients and a parallel understanding of trauma's impact kindled a connection between Kristy and Caitlynn. In a serendipitous moment, Caitlynn revealed her aspiration to start her own practice. And so, Unearth QLD was destined to blossom.
