My areas of interest are:

Emily Easman

Clinical Dietitian
Emily is an accredited practising dietitian (APD) and has over 18 years of clinical experience, specialising in paediatrics. Emily is passionate about supporting children, young people, and their families to improve nutrition, physical health and wellbeing.
Emily has a breadth of clinical experience across all areas of paediatric nutrition with experience working in tertiary children’s hospitals as well as private practice and supporting NDIS participants. Emily has a particular experience supporting food allergy, growth concerns, feeding challenges and eating disorders, including ARFID.
Emily works with families to help food become an enjoyable experience for everyone, with a focus on connected mealtimes. Emily strives to support children to eat a wide variety of foods, and support parents to feel confident in feeding their family. Emily is particularly passionate about supporting neurodivergent young people develop positive food relationships to find the best way to nourish their body for optimal growth and development.
Emily utilises a weight inclusive, person-centred and non-judgemental approach to all her work.

  • Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (University of Newcastle, 2004)

  • Dieteticians Australia (DA) - Accredited Practising Dietetician (APD)

  • Eating Disorder Credentialled Dietetician, ANZAED

  • ‘Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to Feeding’

  • Paediatric dietetic and transdisciplinary assessment skills and interventions course, HATCH dietetics

  • Postgraduate Paediatric Feeding Workshop, Feeding Therapy Australia

  • Professional Certificate in Medical Nutrition Therapy in Food Allergy and Intolerance, Dietitians Australia

  • ARFID for Dietitians: A Responsive Feeding Therapy Approach, EDRD Pro

  • Eating Disorders for Dietitians Training, Fiona Sutherland & Shane Jeffrey
